Shandur Polo Festival, Chumarkhan Ann trek and Kalash valley of Chitral

The traditional free style match is played between the teams of Gilgit and Chitral every year in the summer especially in month of July. Shandur Polo Ground is the highest polo ground in the world. We will warmly welcome the interested ones and have our services to get there.

Itinerary

Mountain Range          Himalaya and Hindukush

Duration:                    11 nights / 12 days, 5 camping and 6 hotel nights

Festival dates            7 to 9th July each year

Day 1     Arrival to Islamabad

Day2      fly to Gilgit or drive over Babusar pass to Chilas

Day3      Drive to Shandur Pass 3734m

Day4      Polo Match

Day5      After final Polo Match drive to Barsat village

Day6      Trek to Upper Chumarkhan Gol 4000m

Day 7     Trek over Chumarkhan Pass 4330m to Chapali

Day 8    Drive to Chitral 4 to 5 hrs. Hotel

Day9      Day visit to Bumburet and Rumbur valley by evening back to Chitral

Day 10   Drive to Gharum Chasma valley and return to Chitral

Day11    Fly or Drive over Lawari pass to Islamabad. 12hrs. Hotel or guesthouse

Day12    Transfer to Islamabad Airport for final destination
